McHi Mariachi Oro kicks off the 2023 TABE State Conference with former NYC Superintendent
The McAllen High School Mariachi Oro performed with former chancellor and superintendent of New York City Schools, Houston Independent School District, San Francisco Unified School District, Dr. Richard Carranza, at the 2023 Texas Association of Bilingual Education State Conference at the McAllen Performing Arts Center.
Mariachi director, Mr. Alex Trevino boasts, "[It was] an honor sharing the stage with Dr. Richard Carranza. What a treat having him step up to sing a song with our students on the spot as part of their keynote performance at the conference," Trevino continued.
